Single-lane closures are scheduled along Ko‘olau Road in Kīlauea starting on Wednesday.
The closure, which runs through Dec. 19, will allow the Kaua‘i County Department of Public Works and its contractor, Maui Kupono Builders, to repave the road.

Work will run from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary lane closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
