13 lane closures scheduled during week of Nov. 29 to Dec. 5 on Kauaʻi state roadways

Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces the following lane closures and road work projects for state roadways on Kauaʻi during the week of Nov. 29 to Dec. 5.

HIGHWAY 50

ʻŌMAʻO

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 8.2 and 8.8, in the vicinity of Punee Road and Piiwai Place, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 4 to Dec. 5 for striping. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

HIGHWAY 51

NĀWILIWILI

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 0.0 and 0.8, in the vicinity of Waʻa-pā Road and Rice Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 1 to Dec. 5 for concrete sidewalk and curb work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

HANALEI

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 1.5 and 1.8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 for installation of sand barrels.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 3 and 4.5, in the vicinity of Mahimahi Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 1 to Dec. 4 from 8:30 a.m. for cutting grass.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 2.8 and 3.3, in the vicinity of Cin Tai Wai Road and Anae Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 for concrete work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 24.4 and 28.1, in the vicinity of Kahiliholo Road to Emmalani Drive, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 1 to Dec. 5 for striping.

KAPAʻA

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 8 and 9.5, in the vicinity of ʻAkia Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 1 to Dec. 5 for concrete and electrical work.

KAPAIA TO HANAMAULU

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 1.1 and 1.6, in the vicinity of Maʻalo Road to Laukona Street, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 3 and Dec. 4 for cutting grass.

KĪLAUEA

• TWO LANE CLOSURE in both directions on Kolo Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m Dec. 1 to Dec. 5 for striping and pavement marker installation.

WAILUĀ

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in the southbound direction between mile post 5.7 to 5.9, in the vicinity of Wailua State Park Road and Kuamoo Road, from 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dec. 2 to Dec. 4 for concrete pouring.

HIGHWAY 550

KŌKE‘E

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 1.2 and 5.5, in the vicinity of Panini Place, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 1 to Dec. 5 for pavement reconstruction. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 4.6 and 11.5 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 1 to Dec. 5 for shoulder reconstruction. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 3 and 3.5 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and Dec. 2 for cutting grass.
