DMV identification cards unavailable through Wednesday
The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is unable to produce identification cards, such as driving permits, driver’s licenses, and state identification cards, because of hardware issues.

Staff members continue to work closely with their vendors to restore full functionality as quickly as possible and anticipate identification cards will become available on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
The DMV is contacting appointment holders with appointments today, Nov. 24, and tomorrow, Nov. 25, via email or phone call to cancel appointments for all driver’s license, commercial driver’s license (CDL), and state identification card services.
To reschedule an appointment, rebook through the DMV website. For those who have already paid for road test services, the DMV will hold your payment and apply it to your next appointment.
Permit appointments will continue, and the DMV will hold results for 30 days. The DMV continues to be available for all motor vehicle services, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) placards, and utility bill payments.
