UPDATE: Construction results in trash pickup delay for portion of Wailuā Houselots

Update at 3 p.m. Nov. 20, 2025: Kaua‘i County Department of Public Works notifies the public that residential trash pickup is delayed for a portion of Nonou Road in Wailuā Houselots because of construction in the area.

“If your trash has not yet been serviced by 3:30 p.m. today … please leave your bin out,” said Public Works in its announcement. “Pickup for the remaining area is anticipated to be completed tomorrow … . Mahalo for your patience.”

Equipment issues earlier today also led to the delay of residential rubbish pickup in two other Garden Isle communities — Po‘ipū and Kōloa. Read more about those delays below.
