Residents are invited to discuss the Hanalei Water Line Improvements Project with the Department of Water this Wednesday.

Contractors work on the first phase of the Hanalei Water Line Project.

The project will replace the aging water main infrastructure to meet current water system standards, including fire flow requirements. The first phase was completed in June, and the second phase is scheduled to begin in winter 2025.

The areas to be impacted include:

  • Weke Road (from ʻAnae Road to Mālolo Road)
  • ʻAnae Road
  • Heʻe Road
  • Mahimahi Road

During work hours, residents can expect possible water service disruptions, intermittent road and lane closures, and typical construction site situations such as noise, vibration, and dust.
