Grass-cutting work closes southbound Kapaʻa Bypass Road through Friday

The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation announced that the southbound lane of the Kapaʻa Bypass Road will be closed through Friday.
Work will begin at 8:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. daily, to allow crews to safely perform grass-cutting and roadside maintenance work.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured to Kukui Street and reconnected to the two-way section of Kapaʻa Bypass Road at Olohena Road.
Motorists are advised to plan for extra travel time, follow all posted detour signs, and drive with caution through the area. Work hours and completion times are subject to change depending on weather or operational conditions.
