Hoone Road paving project in Poʻipū to run through Oct. 24, with lane closures

The County of Kaua‘i’s Department of Public Works and its contractor, Maui Kupono Builders, have begun road paving work on portions of Hoone Road in Po‘ipū.

The project will run through Oct. 24 and require lane closures and single-lane contraflow traffic patterns.

Motorists are urged to plan for delays, detours and limited access in the area during work hours. Crews will maintain property access, and motorists are urged to obey traffic signs and flaggers for safety.

Construction work is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All construction work is dependent on the weather.

The County encourages residents and visitors to allow extra travel time and remain cautious near the construction zones.
