Fiber optic infrastructure will be installed around Līhu‘e starting Oct. 13.

Several road closures are scheduled to allow for the installation to occur, which will take place on weekdays only from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., according to a Kaua‘i County press release.

Impacted roads include portions of Puaole Street, Malae Street, Alohi Street, Uluhui Street, Ka‘ana Street, and Palai Street. The closures or adjusted traffic patterns will continue till Nov. 15.

Access to properties will be provided. Drivers should anticipate detours, lane, and road closure delays, and allow extra travel time while in the work areas.
