U.S. Postal Service hiring for holiday help on Kauaʻi

The U.S. Postal Service is preparing for the busy holiday season and is seeking to hire nine temporary employees on Kauaʻi to assist with Santa’s deliveries.

The holiday positions available are at the Kapa’a and Līhuʻe post offices, with assignments running from Nov. 15 to Dec. 26.

There is a holiday clerk assistant position that involves sorting and distributing mail and packages at a post office. There also is a holiday carrier assistant, which is responsible for delivering and collecting mail and packages.

The starting pay for the positions is $20.59 per hour, plus a cost-of-living adjustment. Job postings will be open from Friday to Tuesday or until positions are filled.

To search: go to usps.com/careers, select “How to apply” in the upper right corner, scroll to the new application section and click “apply on USPS Careers,” select “United States” and “Hawaii”, then enter keyword “holiday” to see available positions and locations of the posting. 

Positions are posted on Fridays and online until the following Tuesday.
