REMINDER: Kauaʻi County Division of Motor Vehicles offices to be closed for staff training
To provide staff training, both the main Līhu‘e Division of Motor Vehicles office and the new Kapa‘a satellite office will be closed Oct. 8.

The Kapa‘a satellite office operates by appointment only, providing services such as motor vehicle transactions, utility payments, bus passes and tipping coupons to customers.
Driver’s license services are not available at this location.
The Līhu‘e DMV accepts appointments and walk-ins, though officials recommend scheduling an appointment beforehand. There are also kiosks around the island for fast license plate renewals.
Kūpuna Hour is reserved daily from 8 to 8:45 a.m.
The Līhuʻe office offers walk-in service until 2 p.m. and provides all motor vehicle, driver’s license and related transactions. Appointment holders can check in up to 15 minutes before and no more than 5 minutes after their scheduled time.
Both locations will resume regular hours of operations Oct. 9.
