U.S. Coast Guard, local agencies continue to search for two missing men in waters off Kauaʻi
The search continues for two men who have gone missing from separate locations earlier this week in waters off of Kauaʻi, according to the U.S. Coast Guard
Bryson Higashi, a 44-year-old from Līhuʻe , was last seen at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Hanalei. He was thought to have been diving. His truck was found near Hanalei Bay after being left unattended for a full day.

He is 5 feet 10, weighs approximately 200 pounds, and has brown eyes and black hair.
Kyle Barrett, 37, was last seen at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday near the entrance to the Queen’s Bath trailhead in Princeville.
Barrett is 6 feet, 4 inches tall, weighs approximately 210 pounds, and has brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, dark shorts and sunglasses.
The Coast Guard said Friday evening that the agencies continue the search but have no leads on either missing man.
As of Friday morning, 94 hours of searching has been conducted, covering a total of 3,443 square miles.

Due to the close proximity of where both men went missing, search patterns are being conducted looking for both.
The Coast Guard said there are no plans for suspension and will continue the search over night, even with the rain. At this time, there are no helicopter restrictions.
