Gov. Green traveling to New York for Clinton Global Initiative annual meeting
Hawaiʻi Gov. Josh Green is traveling to New York on Wednesday afternoon to attend the Clinton Foundationʻs Global Initiative Annual Meeting.
During his East Coast visit, Green will speak on Thursday as part of the “Investing in Community Resilience” Leaders Stage session.
Green will highlight Hawai‘i’s approach to strengthening communities through science-driven policies, climate action, housing initiatives and equitable infrastructure development. Additionally, he is scheduled to participate in roundtable discussions focused on health and climate resilience.
This trip marks an opportunity for Hawai‘i’s leadership to engage with global leaders on key issues affecting communities, climate and public health.

While Green is on the mainland, Lt. Gov. Sylvia Luke will assume the role of acting governor from Sept. 24 to 27.
