Celebrate chocolate, coffee from farm to table with festival next month
The 10th Kauaʻi Chocolate & Coffee Festival is a celebration of all things chocolate and coffee.
The mission of the Kauaʻi Chocolate & Coffee Festival is to offer an event that entertains both visitors and residents of Kauaʻi; highlights Hawaiʻi agricultural industries of both cacao and coffee; and showcases the fine products and talents of local farmers, chefs, roasters, chocolatiers, baristas, and manufacturers
The Kauaʻi Chocolate & Coffee Festival will be at the Kilohana Plantation in Līhuʻe from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19, highlighting all the attributes of these two favorite local crops. There will be samplings, demonstrations, entertainment, and exhibitor booths featuring a variety of chocolate and coffee products from around the state, along with local crafters and food trucks.
Admission is free; however, those who wish to sample chocolate and coffee can purchase a tasting passport.
The festival will feature chocolate and coffee from Kauaʻi and around the Hawaiian Islands with funds to benefit the Kala Foundation for perpetuating Hawaiian culture.
