Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for Sept. 6-12.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

PUA LOKE TO PUHI

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 0.5 to 0.9 in the vicinity of Uahi Road and Anonui Street, from Sept. 8 to Sept. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for restriping crosswalks.

Lane shift on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 9.9 to 10.3 in the vicinity of Akemama Road and Kōloa Road, on Sept. 8 to Sept. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for installation of new reflectors.

KALĀHEO TO ‘ELE‘ELE

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 12.2 to 15.4 in the vicinity of Halewili Road and Mahea Road, on Sept. 8 to Sept. 12 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. for cutting grass.

Shoulder closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 23.3 to 24.3 between Royal Coconut Grove and Kikiaola Boat Harbor, on Sept. 8 to Sept. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for ditch cleaning.

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction, between mile post 4.3 to 5, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Wailua Golf Course, on Sept. 8 to Sept. 12 from 1 to 6:30 a.m. for cutting grass.

WAILUA

Two lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction, between mile post 5.6 to 5.9, in the vicinity of the mauka Wailua bridge, on Sept. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for bridge jacking. Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile post 8 to 9.5, in the vicinity of Akia Road, nightly on Sept. 7 to Sept. 12 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping and marking installation. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

MOLOA‘A

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile post 20 to 21, in the vicinity of Ko‘olau Road and Waiakalua Street, on Sept. 8 to Sept. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for cutting grass.

KĪLAUEA (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile post 23.2 to 23.6, in the vicinity of Kolo Road and Kalamania Road, nightly on Sept. 8 to Sept. 12 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving roundabout area.

KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile post 24.4 to 28.1, in the vicinity of Kahiliholo Road to Emmalani Drive, on Sept. 7 to Sept. 12 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly for rumble strip installation and striping.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction, between mile post 0.3 to 1.2 in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, on Sept. 8 to Sept. 12 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for drain line work.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI (NIGHT WORK)

Alternating single lane closure building to a full closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., on Sept. 8 to Sept. 12 for asphalt reconstruction. HANALEI (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) in the Haena bound direction between mile post 1.2 to 4.2, in the vicinity of Ohiki Road, on Sept. 8 to Sept. 12 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for paving, concrete work and guardrail installation. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

WAIKOKO (24/7 CLOSURE)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile post 4.3 to 4.5, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumahai Trailhead, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for slope stabilization of Waikoko Hillside. Single lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) possible in either direction between mile post 4.6 to 11.5, on Sept. 8 to Sept. 12 from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for shoulder reconstruction. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
