The County of Kaua’i is experiencing staffing shortages that will affect residential trash collection this Labor Day.

Due to staffing issues, residential trash pickup in the Anahola and Moloa‘a areas will be delayed, according to a press release.

County officials note that if trash has not been serviced by 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 1, residents are asked to leave their rubbish bins out. Pickup for areas not serviced is anticipated to be completed tomorrow, Sept. 2.

Additionally, because of staffing issues, residential trash pickup in the Kekaha area will not occur this Labor Day.
