Water service shutdown scheduled for several areas in Kapaʻa

Kauaʻi County Department of Water notifies customers along several roads in Kapaʻa that their water service will be shutdown temporarily one day this week.

Affected areas are:

  • Waipouli Road.
  • Kualapa Place.
  • Kini Place.
  • Upper portion of Olohena Road.
  • Portion of Hauʻiki Road.

The shutdown is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 27, weather permitting, so crews can repair the main line.

Affected customers should prepare by:

  • STORING enough water for your needs until service is restored.
  • NOTIFYING family, friends, tenants and neighbors.
  • MAKING SURE faulty water heaters do not empty during the shutdown.

Updates will be posted on the Water Department website.
