Toyota Hawaiʻi sponsors gridiron opportunity for Kaua‘i keiki through NFL FLAG Football
Toyota Hawaiʻi is giving keiki throughout the islands a chance to get on the gridiron by sponsoring several NFL FLAG Football squads.

NFL FLAG Football is a no-contact youth football league for boys and girls ages 4 to 17 years old, with more than 2,000 active participants throughout the islands.
Toyota Hawaiʻi provided branded gear this year to the following leagues:
- Kaua‘i Flag Football, Kaua‘i.
- D.P.D. (Dynamic Playmaker Development), Hawai‘i Island.
- Maui Police Activities League, Maui.
- XL Sports 808, O‘ahu.
- NFL FLAG Football Hawai‘i, O‘ahu.
“At Toyota Hawai‘i, we believe in fueling more than just vehicles — we’re here to fuel opportunity, teamwork and thriving communities,” said Toyota Hawai‘i Senior Vice President Lance Ichimura in an announcement about the firm’s team sponsorships. “Our sponsorship of NFL FLAG Football in Hawai‘i is a reflection of our deep commitment to supporting and investing in the well-being of our keiki and local families across the state.”
Toyota is the presenting sponsor of the national organization, with more than 700,000 participants in 1,800 leagues throughout the mainland, Hawai‘i and Puerto Rico.
Flag football has helped provide pathways for girl athletes to compete in college, as well as off-season competition for tackle football athletes since the NFL began its yough league in 1994.
