UPDATE: 17-year-old girl who was reported as runaway has been located

Update at 4:42 p.m. Aug. 14, 2025: Kaua‘i police said earlier today that 17-year-old Kehakeha Lawhead, who was previously reported as a runaway, was located and is in good health.

Kaua‘i Police Department thanked community members for their vigilance and assistance with fnding her.

Original post at 5:22 p.m. Aug. 13, 2025: Kaua‘i Police Department is asking the public for its help with finding a runaway 17-year-old.

Kehakeha Lawhead is about 5-feet-11, 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a T-shirt and blue pants while riding a skateboard. Kehakeha is known to frequent the Hā‘ena, Kalihiwai, Kapa‘a and Kalāheo areas.

Anyone with information with information about her whereabouts is encouraged and urged to contact Kaua‘i Police Department Dispatch at 808-241-1711.
