Kauaʻi firefighters are responding to another blaze in Anahola this afternoon

Kauaʻi Fire Department firefighters are responding to an estimated 3-acre brush fire in Anahola, located between Hōkūʻalele Road and Kūhiō Highway.

No injuries or damaged structures have been reported.

The fire was reported shortly after 1:45 p.m.

Crews from the Kapaʻa and Kaiākea fire stations, Rescue 3, Aircraft Rescue Firefighters, Tanker 1, Air 1, Air 2, and the on-duty battalion chief are responding to this incident.

The Kauaʻi Emergency Management Agency is monitoring the situation. There are no road closures at this time; however, first responders are advising the public to avoid the area.
