Division of Motor Vehicles to close all offices next Wednesday
The Division of Motor Vehicles will close both the main Līhuʻe office and the newly opened Kapaʻa satellite office next Wednesday, Aug. 6, for staff training.
Regular hours for both locations will resume on Thursday, Aug. 7.
The Kapaʻa satellite office is open to appointment-holding customers only from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for state and federally observed holidays.
Acceptable transactions include motor vehicle transactions, utility payments, bus passes, and tipping coupons. Currently, there are no driver’s license transactions at the Kapaʻa office.
The Līhuʻe Division of Motor Vehicles accepts appointment holders and walk-ins from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments are recommended, and walk-ins are accepted until 2 p.m.
All motor vehicle transactions, driver’s licenses, and other acceptable transactions are handled at the Līhuʻe office. Kupuna hour is from 8 to 8:45 a.m.
Appointment holders may check in for a scheduled appointment up to 15 minutes before their appointment time and no later than five minutes after their appointment.
