Kauaʻi County now has a more convenient, transparent and year-round way for island residents and businesses to bid on surplus county property.

The county recently launched a new live auction platform.

This new system replaces the previous annual closed-bid process and will be hosted through Public Surplus, with payment processing provided by PayMac.

Live auctions will feature a continually updated selection of items from various departments — available to the public as they become eligible for auction.

  • Secure electronic payment processing.
  • More timely turnover of county assets.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to visit the county website, click on “NEW Surplus Live Auction” and register with “Public Surplus Registration” to participate in upcoming auctions.

Additional details and frequently asked questions are also available on the auction information page.
