Lane closures on the portion of Kōloa Road, between Maluhia Road and Waikomo Road, in Kōloa have been extended through the first part of next week.
The traffic modifications — necessary for road resurfacing work — will now be in place through July 22. Crews will be on-site working from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.
Lane closures were originally scheduled for July 17-18. Road work modifications required their extension.
Access will continue to be provided to properties along the affected portion of Kōloa Road.
Electronic message boards will be posted; flaggers will be present to direct traffic.
Motorists should plan accordingly: allow for extra travel time if you must drive through the consruction area and void parking in the work zones.
