Lane closures scheduled this week for portion of Kōloa Road

Kaua‘i motorists are advised that lane closures, resulting in contraflow pattern, will be in place for part of this week on a portion of Kōloa Road in Kōloa.

Traffic modifications will be in place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 17-18 between Maluhia Road and Waikomo Road.

Kaua‘i County Department of Public Works contracted Maui Kupono Builders to perform necessary road resurfacing work on that portion of the roadway, which is scheduled during those times and days, weather permitting.

Electronic message boards will be posted informing motorists.

The public should plan accordingly.

Allow extra travel time if you must drive through the area. Avoid parking in the work zones. Flaggers will be on site to direct traffic.
