REMINDER: Deadline to file for new, renewal agricultural dedication petition is July 1
Kauaʻi County Department of Finance Real Property Assessment Office reminds the public that the deadline for filing agricultural dedication petitions is July 1 to be considered for the upcoming 2026 assessment.
Ordinance No. 1132 repealed the outdated Agricultural Dedication program. The new petition form includes and is subject to current program standards. The program provides a Real Property Tax incentive in exchange for a 5-year commitment to commercial farming.
Those filing for new or renewal dedications must complete a new petition and comply with current guidelines.
The petition to dedicate agricultural land can be obtained online or at the Real Property Assessment Office, located in Suite A-454 at 4444 Rice Street, in Līhuʻe.
Look under the “Forms and Information” link on the website for the “Petition to Dedicate Agricultural Land to Commercial Farming.” Online submission is now available.
