Emergency water shutdown issued for customers along portion of Kūhiō Highway in Hanalei

Kaua‘i County Department of Water has issued an emergency water service shutdown for customers located on Kūhiō Highway, between ʻAnae Road and Waikoko.
The shutdown was initiated just before 11:30 a.m. today (June 20).
Water service will be unavailable for at least about another 4 to 5 hours as Water Department crews conduct extensive repairs to the main line.
An update will be provided when new information becomes available.
