Motorists should use Weke Road to enter and exit onto ʻAnae Road. Kūhiō Highway remains open, but is restricted to one lane of alternating traffic.

The closure is necessary for the installation of a new water line for the Hanalei Water Line Improvements Project, which will upgrade the water main infrastructure to meet current water system standards, including existing fire flow requirements.

Drivers are reminded to make appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary intersection closure and allow extra time to get to their destinations.
