Gov. Green to discuss emerging technologies at panel in Washington, D.C.

Governor Josh Green traveled to Washington, D.C., on Sunday for meetings with federal officials, according to the Office of the Governor.

Green will be participate in the 9th annual Hawaiʻi on the Hill event today as a panelist on emerging technologies and their projected impacts on Hawaiʻi.

Hosted by the Chamber of Commerce Hawaiʻi and U.S. Senator Mazie Hirono, Hawaiʻi on the Hill is a four-day initiative in Washington D.C. that showcases Hawaiʻi industries and products with members of the U.S. Congress.

Green is also scheduled to deliver remarks at the “Taste of Hawaiʻi on the Hill” portion of the event.

He will depart Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, June 11, and begin a planned family vacation before returning to Honolulu on Tuesday, June 24.

Lt. Gov. Sylvia Luke will serve as acting governor from the afternoon of June 8 until the afternoon of June 24.
