Moanakai Road in Kapa‘a to be closed

Kaua’i County Department of Public Works is notifying the public that a portion of Moanakai Road in Kapa‘a will be for part of this week starting Wednesday.

Weather permitting, the roadway will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 28-30, between Keaka Road and Makaha Road, so crews can conduct roadside maintenance.

Vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be detoured via Kealoha Road during work hours.

Motorists are advised to make appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary closures, use alternate routes and allow extra time to get to their destinations.

No parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will direct traffic.
