Water conservation measures remain in place for Department of Water customers in the Hanalei community and ʻAnini Beach areas due to a downed water system pump station.

The request, which was issued on April 4, 2025, remains in place until further notice. Kaua‘i County Department of Water officials have secured contractor services and are now awaiting the necessary components and equipment to conduct the emergency repairs.

Customers are asked to continue water conservation efforts in order to maintain water services and avoid a full water service outage. Water conservation measures include turning off appliances and fixtures that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems and refraining from car washing.

Weekly notices will continue to be provided via the Wireless Emergency Notification System, the County’s emergency notification system. To sign up, visit www.kauai.gov/KEMA and click “Notification Services.”
