Man arrested for first-degree arson following Princeville structure fire

A Garden Isle man is behind bars after being arrested for arson following a structure fire Thursday morning in Princeville.

Kaua’i first responders were dispatched at about 11 a.m. Thursday following reports of the structure fire at a property on Nāmakehā Loop.

Personnel with Kaua‘i Fire Department were able to successfully extinguish the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Responding officers with Kaua‘i Police Department determined the fire was intentionally set based on witness statements and surveillance footage.

They identified 51-year-old Krishna Lysowski of Princeville as the suspect, and he was taken into custody without incident.

Lysowski was arrested for first-degree arson.

He is being detained on $102,000 bail at the Kaua‘i Police Department cellblock in Līhuʻe.
