57-year-old man arrested, suspected of arson following Hanamā‘ulu structure fire
A 57-year-old of Hanamā‘ulu man suspected of arson was arrested without incident Sunday at the scene of a structure fire in Hanamā‘ulu.

Kaua‘i Police Department officers responding to the blaze at a property on Hehi Road identified and arrested Nelson Kane for first-degree arson.
Kane is being detained at the Kaua‘i Police Department cellblock in Līhuʻe on $20,000 bail.
Kaua‘i first responders were dispatched at about 9 a.m. Sunday to Hehi Road after receiving reports about the structure fire.
Kaua‘i Fire Department personnel were able to successfully extinguished the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
Witnesses told police they saw a suspect — later identified as Kane — intentionally setting the structure on fire.
