First Hawaiian Bank opens its modern, sustainable Līhuʻe branch on Monday
First Hawaiian Bank offers a range of personal and commercial banking services and financial advisory support at its new facility in the Hokulei Village shopping center.
Spanning 7,800 square feet, the full-service location opened Monday with modern amenities for the community. The facility includes private consultation rooms, a spacious open lobby designed to enhance customer service, 24/7 deposit ATMs, a night depository, and a secure self-service safe deposit box room equipped with biometric entry.

“At First Hawaiian Bank, we believe in building strong relationships with our customers,” said Bob Harrison, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of First Hawaiian Bank. “Our new Līhuʻe Banking Center is more than a branch, it’s a long-term investment in the people and businesses of Kauaʻi and a heartfelt commitment to being a part of this vibrant community.”
The facility is designed across two buildings, connected by an open-air breezeway and courtyard, with customer ease of use and accessibility in mind.
The advisory building houses the branch’s commercial banking, mortgage, wealth management, and private banking services. It features offices, a conference room, and open meeting areas conducive to planning and strategizing.
The courtyard and breezeway provide comfortable spaces for customers to meet with the First Hawaiian Bank team in a relaxed, open-air environment.
The design incorporates modern and sustainable building practices to reduce environmental impact. Some environmentally friendly features include:
- Solar panels
- A backup battery system that coincides with two EV charging stations
- Onsite bicycle parking
- Drip irrigation
- Energy-efficient light fixtures
- Low-flow toilets
- Low-E insulated glass
The banking center is located at 4454 Nuhou Street, Suite 1000 in the Hokulei Village shopping center and will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
There are currently five branches on Kaua‘i with a team of 38 employees serving the Garden Isle and the Līhu‘e Banking Center will be staffed with 15 employees. As part of the transition to the new branch, First Hawaiian Bank will be adding to its team. Positions available can be found on the bank’s website.
