Kaua‘i County Department of Water customers in the Hanalei and ʻAnini Beach areas are reminded to be vigilant with water conservation efforts until further notice because of a pump station mechanical failure that happened April 4 that continues to impact the water system’s storage supply.

Water Department officials are working diligently to get the necessary equipment and services to make the emergency repairs.

Customers are advised to limit water use to essential needs only to avoid a full water service outage.

Water conservation measures include:

  • Turning off appliances and fixtures that automatically draw water such as ice machines and irrigation systems.
  • Refraining from car washing and other nonurgent uses of water.
