Warrant sweep operation on Kaua‘i yields 6 arrests

A warrant sweep operation conducted by Kaua‘i police earlier this month yielded six arrests.

The police department’s Līhu‘e Field Operations Division arrested individuals on March 19 wanted for outstanding warrants.

Assistant Chief Kalani Ke said addressing outstanding warrants is crucial to preventing crime from escalating. These operations, he added, ensure individuals who have violated the law are held accountable for their actions.

The following men and women were taken into custody during the sweep operation:

  • Christian Troy Kopps, 29, arrested for second-degree criminal trespassing, fourth-degree theft, violation of release on bail limit and criminal contempt of court.
  • Gail Helen Singley, 60, arrested for violation of release on bail limit.
  • Kalani Duke Duhaylongsod, 52, arrested on two warrants for criminal contempt of court and two warrants for violation of release on bail limit.
  • Liana Leslie Lopes, 35, arrested for failure to appear.
  • Micah S.T. Otani, 38, arrested for revocation and modification of probation.
  • Tony Laan Lakabung, 38, arrested for revocation and modification of probation and criminal contempt of court.

Police officials urge individuals with outstanding warrants to turn themselves in.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of wanted individuals is advised to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-241-1711 or leave an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i at 808-246-8300, online at crimestopperskauai.org, or use the Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i P3 Tips Mobile App.
