Scheduled Kaua‘i lane closures for March 8-14

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation notifies the public about the following lane closures March 8-14 on Kaua‘i:

KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 50)

ʻŌMAʻO TO KALĀHEO (NIGHT WORK)

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 9 and 12, in the vicinity just west of Kalāheo from midnight to 5:30 a.m. March 10-12 and 14 for mowing and guardrail clearing.

KALĀHEO  (NIGHT WORK)

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 11.2 and 11.5, in the vicinity of Hokua Road and Silva Tract from midnight to 5 a.m. March 12 for tree trimming.

KEKAHA (24/7 CLOSURE)

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 24.37 and 24.46, in the vicinity of Kikiaola Boat Harbor, for replacement of culverts. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane. Click here for details.

KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (HIGHWAYS 56/560)

WAILUA

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in the southbound direction between mile posts 6.7 and 6.9, in the vicinity of Aleka Loop and Fernandez Road, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 12 for guardrail repair.

KAPA‘A TO KEĀLIA (NIGHT WORK/WEEKEND WORK)

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 8.1 and 9.7, in the vicinity of ‘Akia Road and Mailihuna Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. March 9-14 for resurfacing, concrete and electrical work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

KĀLIHIWAI (NIGHT WORK)

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 23.8 and 25, in the vicinity of Kalihiwai Road, from 2 to 6:30 a.m. March 10-12 for clearing drains.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 0 and 10, in the vicinity of ‘Emmalani Drive, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 10-14 for mowing.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 0.3 and 1.2, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and ‘Ohiki Road, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 10-14 for drain line installation. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

HANALEI

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in the westbound direction between mile posts 2.9 and 3.3, in the vicinity of Mahimahi Road and ‘Anae Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 10-14 for sidewalk installation.

WAIKOKO (24/7 CLOSURE)

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile postS 4.3 and 4.5, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumaha‘i Trailhead, for slope stabilization of Waikoko Hillside. Traffic signal will control alternating traffic through the open lane. Click here for details.

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in the westbound direction between mile posts 6.4 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Ananalu Road and ‘Ala‘eke Road, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 10-11 for installation of speed table and pavement markings.

HĀ‘ENA

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 9 and 9.3, in the vicinity of Hā‘ena Beach Park, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 12 for drain clearing

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 0.9 and 1.5 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 10-14 for tree trimming.

WAIMEA CANYON DRIVE (HIGHWAY 550)

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 8.5 and 9.5 from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 8 for tree trimming.

KŌKE‘E

• SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 11.5 and 14 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 10-14 for shoulder stabilization, guardrail repairs and striping. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

KUAMOʻO ROAD (HIGHWAY 580)

WAILUA HOMESTEADS

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 5 and 6, in the vicinity of Reservoir Dam, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 10-14 for mowing.

MA‘ALO ROAD (HIGHWAY 583)

KAPAIA (WEEKEND WORK)

• RIGHT LANE CLOSURES in either direction from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 8 for mowing between mile posts 1 and 2.5 and mile posts 2 and 3.
