Update at 1:50 p.m. Feb. 27: Kaua‘i police report that a man was found dead Feb. 26 near Salt Pond Beach Park in ‘Ele‘ele. The man was identified as 61-year-old Henry Aul III of Wailua, who was previously reported missing.

No foul play is suspected. An autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of death.

Kaua‘i Police Department extends its condolences to Aul’s family and friends during this difficult time.

Original post from 3:52 p.m. Feb. 26: Kaua‘i police are asking for the public’s help with locating a missing 61-year-old Wailua man who goes by the nickname Hank.

Henry Aul III was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, white shorts and boots. He is 5-foot-8, 177 pounds, with green eyes and straight blond hair.

Anyone with information about Aul’s whereabouts is urged to call Kaua‘i Police Department dispatch at 808-241-1711.
