Emergency water service shutdown announced for portion of Wailua Homesteads

An emergency water service shutdown for customers on Kuamoʻo Road in Wailua Homesteads, between Līhau Street and ʻŌpaekaʻa Road, began at about 8 a.m. today.

Kauaʻi County Department of Water officials report that water service will be unavailable for a total of about 5 to 6 hours while crews make extensive repairs to the main water line.

An update will be provided if and when new information becomes available.
