Wanted fugitive Isaiah Pongasi-Adric arrested
A 26-year-old Anahola man wanted on multiple warrants, including a $50,000 probation revocation, was recently arrested by Kaua‘i police.

Fugitive Isaiah Pongasi-Adric was taken into custody Jan. 29 during a planned operation to apprehend him. He was arrested for multiple offenses, including resisting an order to stop a motor vehicle, driving without a valid license and the probation revocation.
Pongasi-Adric remains in custody. His bail was set at $80,000.
Police also arrested 49-year-old Elvin Adric of Anahola for second-degree hindering prosecution for allegedly assisting Pongasi-Adric evade arrest.
Adric was granted release from custody based on his written promise to appear at all scheduled court proceedings.
“We appreciate the community’s vigilance and commend our officers for bringing this case to a peaceful resolution,” said Kaua‘i Assistant Police Chief Kalani Ke. “This outcome reflects the strong collaboration between [Kaua‘i Police Department] and the community in keeping Kaua‘i safe. It also sends a strong message to anyone who may consider assisting those trying to evade justice.”
The investigation is ongoing.
