Scheduled Kaua‘i lane closures for week of Jan. 11-17
The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation notifies the public about its scheduled lane closures for the week of Jan. 11-17 on Kaua‘i.
Lane closures can change at any time without notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALIʻI HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 50) —
1) PUHI TO KIPU (NIGHT WORK)
Right lane closure possible overnight from 12:30 to 6:30 a.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction between mile posts 2.4 and 4, in the vicinity of Cane Haul Road and Puuana Road, for grass cutting and guardrail clearing.
2) ‘ELE‘ELE (NIGHT WORK)
Right lane closure possible overnight from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Jan. 13-14 in either direction, in the vicinity of Halewili Road, for sewer line trench paving.
3) ‘ELE‘ELE (NIGHT WORK)
Right lane closure possible overnight from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction, in the vicinity of Halewili Road and Hanapēpē Road, on Monday, for sewer line trench paving.
4) ‘ELE‘ELE TO WAIMEA (NIGHT WORK)
Roving shoulder closure possible overnight from 12:30 to 6:30 a.m. Jan. 15-17 in either direction, in the vicinity of Lele Road and ʻAlawī Road, for installing raised pavement markings at the edge of the pavement.
5) KEKAHA (24/7 CLOSURE)
Right lane closure possible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in either direction between mile posts 24.37 to 24.46, in the vicinity of Kikiaola Boat Harbor, for replacement of culverts. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane. Click here for details.

1) LĪHU‘E (NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure on possible overnight from 2 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. Jan. 13 in either direction between mile posts 4.1 to 5.6, in the vicinity of Kapa‘a Beach Road and Wailua State Park, for cutting grass.
2) KAPA‘A (NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure possible overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Jan. 12-17 in either direction between mile posts 8.1 to 9.7, in the vicinity of ʻĀkia Road and Mailihuna Road, for resurfacing, concrete and electrical work.
3) ANAHOLA
Right lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 13-14 in either direction between mile posts 14 to 16, in the vicinity of ʻAliomanu Road, for grass cutting.
4) ANAHOLA TO MOLOĀ‘A
Right lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction between mile posts 14 to 17, in the vicinity of ʻAliomanu Road, for grass cutting.
5) KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE (NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure possible from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. overnight Jan. 12-17 in either direction between mile posts 24.4 to 25.6, in the vicinity of Kahiliholo Road and ʻAnini Vista Drive near the Princeville Airport, for cold planning and repaving.
6) WAIKOKO
Single lane closure possible from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 16-17 in either direction between mile posts 4.3 to 4.5 for clearing and grubbing of the mauka shoulder.
7) WAIKOKO
Single lane closure possible from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 15 in either direction between mile posts 4.6 to 4.9, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumahaʻi Beach, for slope stabilization and tree clearing. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane. Click here for details.

Right lane closure possible from 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 11 in either direction between mile posts 5.5 to 6.5 for grass cutting and guardrail clearing.

Single lane closure possible from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 13-17 in either direction between mile posts 11.5 to 14 for shoulder stabilization, guardrail and striping. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
