Public libraries to close in observance of holidays
The state’s public libraries and support offices of the Hawai‘i State Public Library System will be closed Christmas Day, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2025.
Today, Christmas Eve, and on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, libraries that offer evening hours will close no later than 4 p.m., including the Kapa‘a, which will have adjusted hours.
Contact your local library for more information about its holiday hours.
Although public library branches will be closed, the Hawai‘i State Public Library System digital doors are always open.
With just a library card, you can download e-books, stream movies, learn a language, read The New York Times and more.
