Update: Portion of Poinciana Street to be closed again next week
Update at 1 a.m. Dec. 7: Kaua’i County announced Friday that work will continue from Dec. 9-11 on an emergency sewer line project in Līhu‘e.
A portion of Poinciana Street, between Nakamura Street and Kūhiō Highway, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day to allow county Wastewater Management Division crews to do the necessary work.
Residents of Poinciana Street will be granted limited access through the work area.
Other motorists should avoid the area, if possible. If you must drive through the work zone, drive with caution and expect delays.

Emergency sewer line repair on Poinciana Street
A portion of Poicina Street in Līhu‘e, between Nakamura Street and Kūhiō Highway, will be closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday to allow the Wastewater Management Division to perform emergency work on the sewer line in the area.
Residents of Poinciana Street will be granted limited access through the work area.
Otherwise, motorists should avoid the area, if possible, or drive with caution and expect delays if they cannot.

Lane closures scheduled in Kekaha because of resurfacing
The Department of Public Works and contractor Maui Kupono Builders announce lane closures in effect from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today through Friday, weather permitting, for the following roadways in Kekaha:
- Noi‘o Place.
- Pae Kō Place.
- I‘o Road.
- Iwipolena Road.
The closures are necessary for road resurfacing work. Area residents will be allowed partial access through the closures.
Motorists should make appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures and allow extra time to get to their destinations.
No parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be directing traffic.
