Kaua‘i County offices, services and facilities to be closed Thanksgiving Day

Kaua‘i County is celebrating Thanksgiving Day, and in observance of the holiday county offices and services will be closed Thursday.

Holiday closures Thursday also include the following facilities:

  • All neighborhood centers.
  • Puhi Metals Recycling Center.
  • Kekaha Landfill.
  • HI5 redemption centers.
  • All transfer stations.
  • Waimea and Kapa‘a swimming pools.

Residential rubbish pick-up will remain unchanged. The Kaua‘i Bus will also operate on its regular holiday schedule.

County offices, services and facilities return to regular business hours Friday.

The Kaua‘i Police Department Records Section window is also operating on modified hours during the holiday week.

The Records window will be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving Day.

Records services are available 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. today and Friday. Firearms registration services are accessible 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3:30 p.m. the same days.
