The Better Business Bureau awarded family-owned Blue Dolphin Charters on Kauaʻi with its 2024 Torch Award for Ethics in the state of Hawaiʻi.

This award is the most prestigious honor the Better Business Bureau Foundation bestows on businesses operating within its eight-state service area. Winners must demonstrate a high level of personal character, meet the highest standards of ethics, and build trust with their customers and the community.

“This year’s award recipients have once again raised the bar for excellence in business ethics and community impact,” said Tyler Andrew, President and CEO of BBB Great West + Pacific, in a news release. “Their commitment to integrity and social  responsibility strengthens the marketplace and inspires others to follow suit.”

Blue Dolphin Charters was stablished in Port Allen in 1995: “Our passionate crew and state-of-the-art vessels ensure that every journey with Blue Dolphin Charters is an adventure filled with joy, wonder and a deep appreciation for Kauaʻi’s precious resources and the wonders of  the marine world.”

BBB representatives Lisa Nakao and Barbara De Lucca presented the award last week to Shaye Donnelly Clarke, general manager of the company.

“This award is a testament to the hard work, integrity, and dedication our team  pours into delivering exceptional experiences to our guests daily,” Clarke said.
