Kaua‘i lane closures for week of Nov. 16-22
Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces its planned lane closures for the week of Nov. 16-22 on Kaua‘i.
Lane closure schedules can change at any time without notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 50) —
1) ‘ŌMA‘O TO LAWAI
Right lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 9 and 10, in the vicinity of Upa Road and Akemama Road, on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail repair.
2) ‘ELE‘ELE
Right lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 14 and 15, on Monday through Friday, Nov. 18-22, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for tree trimming.
3) WAIMEA
Right lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 22.58 and 23.06, in the vicinity of Alawai Road and Waimea Canyon Drive, on Monday through Friday, Nov. 18-22, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for restriping of the traffic island and stop bars.
4) KEKAHA (24/7 CLOSURE)
Right lane closure possible in either direction between mile post 24.37 and 24.46, in the vicinity of Kikiaola Boat Harbor, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for replacement of culverts. Details online.
— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (HIGHWAYS 56/560) —
1) PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI
Single-lane closure possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and ‘Ōhiki Road, on Monday through Friday, Nov. 18-22, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for drain line and storm manhole installations. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
2) PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI
Single-lane closure possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Papio Place, on Monday through Friday, Nov. 18-22, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for clearing inlets, outlets and guardrails.
3) WAIKOKO (24/7 CONDITION)
Makai lane closure in the Hā‘ena bound direction, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumaha‘i Beach, for emergency slope stabilization. Details online.
4) HANALEI TO WAINIHA (WEEKEND/DAILY WORK)
Single-lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 4.19 and 6.36, in the vicinity of ‘Ananalu Road, on Saturday through Friday, Nov. 16-22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for installation of new Hawaiian Telcom poles.
— WAIMEA CANYON DRIVE (HIGHWAY 550) —
1) KŌKE‘E
Single-lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 11.5 and 14, on Monday through Friday, Nov. 18-22, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for repaving work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

Single-lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 3 and 3.3, on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. for trimming trees and cutting grass.
