Kaua‘i weekly lane closures: Nov. 2-8
Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces lane closures for the week of Nov. 2-8.
In observance of Election Day, there will be no contraflow and no work on State Highways unless otherwise permitted. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —
KŌLOA
Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between milepost 4.5 to 8, on Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.
HANAPĒPĒ TO KAUMAKANI
Shoulder closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between milepost 17 to 18.51, in the vicinity of Lele Road and Kaumakani Road, on Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for shoulder clearing.
KEKAHA (24/7 CLOSURE)
Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between milepost 24.37 to 24.46, in the vicinity of Kikiaola Boat Harbor, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for replacement of culverts. Click here for details.
— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —
LĪHU‘E TO HANAMAULU
Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between milepost 1 to 2.6, in the vicinity of Laukini Road and Kapule Highway, on Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 through Nov. 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for cutting grass and trimming trees.
KALIHIWAI
Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between milepost 23.8 to 25, on Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for cutting grass.
PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI
Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, on Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for drain line and storm manhole installations. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
WAIKOKO
Intermittent full closure for 5-10 minutes at a time, on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) in both directions, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumahai Beach, on Nov. 4 from 8:30 a.m. through midnight and 24 hours Nov. 6 through Nov. 8 from for tree removal as part of the emergency Waikoko slope stabilization project. Makai lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) in the Haena bound direction, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumahai Beach, for emergency slope stabilization. Click here for details.

Right lane closure on Halewili Road (Route 540) possible in either direction, between milepost 0 to 3.84, in the vicinity of Kaumuali‘i Highway, on Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail repairs.

Single lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) possible in either direction, between milepost 1 to 2, on Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for guardrail clearing and grass cutting.

Single lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) possible in either direction, between milepost 11.5 to 14, on Nov. 4 and Nov. 6 through Nov. 8, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for repaving work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

Single lane closure on Ma‘alo Road (Route 583) possible in either direction, between milepost 3 to 3.5, on Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. for trimming trees and clearing ditches.
