As the holiday season draws near, The Salvation Army Hawaiian and Pacific Islands Division is asking for volunteer bell ringers to staff Red Kettles across Hawaiʻi in November and December, however, the Kauaʻi locations plan to fundraise virtually.

As of Thursday, Lieutenants Andrielli and Jose Gonzalez with The Salvation Army Hanapepe Corps and Lieutenants Faaoloviti and Stacie Faasavalu with The Salvation Army Līhuʻe Corps have not opened up volunteer opportunities for bell ringing on The Salvation Armyʻs Register to Ring website.

While there arenʻt times, dates and locations available online, the Hanapepe Corps and the Līhuʻe Corps are taking donations through Virtual Red Kettles.

Donors can make a secure gift from the comfort and safety of their own home by giving to The Salvation Army’s Virtual Red Kettle.

“With so many in Hawaiʻi facing financial challenges, the Journey of the Red Kettle reminds us that the impact of these efforts goes far beyond the holiday season,” said Charmaine K. Hauanio-Kuewa, The Salvation Army Hawaiian and Pacific Islands’ divisional director of development. “It’s more than just collecting donations, it’s about sharing hope, joy and aloha with our community every day.”
