Kauaʻi lane closures: Oct. 26-Nov. 1
The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation announces its scheduled lane closures around Kaua’i for the week of Oct. 26 through Nov. 1.
The public should note that the schedule can change at any time without notice.

— KAUMUALIʻI HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 50) —
1) KIPU TO ʻŌMAʻO
Single lane closure possible in either direction, from mile post 3.99 to 8.37, in the vicinity of Haʻikū Airstrip and Pūne’e Road, from Monday through Friday, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.
2) KAUMAKANI TO WAIMEA
Right lane closure possible in either direction, from mile post 19 to 23, in the vicinity of Kaumakani Avenue and Mākeke Road, from Tuesday through Friday, Oct. 29-Nov. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail repairs.
3) KEKAHA (24/7 CLOSURE)
Right lane closure in either direction from mile post 24.37 to 24.46, in the vicinity of Kīkīaola Boat Harbor, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for replacement of culverts. Details here.
— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (HIGHWAYS 56/560) —
1) LĪHUʻE TO HANAMĀʻULU
Single lane closure possible in either direction, from mile post 0 to 2.9, in the vicinity of Rice Street and Kauaʻi Beach Drive, from Monday through Friday, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for cutting grass and trimming trees.
2) MOLOAʻA
Right lane closure possible in either direction, from mile post 16 to 18, from Monday through Friday, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for cutting grass.
3) PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI
Single lane closure possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and ʻŌhiki Road, from Monday through Friday, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for drain line and storm manhole installations. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
4) WAIKOKO (24/7 CONDITION)
Makai lane closure in the Hāʻena-bound direction, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumahaʻi Beach, for emergency slope stabilization. Details here. Note: Pedestrian access through the work zone is restricted for safety.

Right lane closure possible in either direction, from mile post .08 to .068, in the vicinity of Wilcox Road and Lala Road, from Monday through Friday, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for tree trimming.

Right lane closure possible in either direction, from mile post 2.4 to 2.7, in the vicinity of McBride New Mill Road, on Monday, Oct. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail repairs.

Single lane closure possible in either direction, from mile post 11.5 to 14, from Monday through Friday, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for repaving work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

1) WAILUA HOMESTEADS
Single lane closure possible in either direction, from mile post 0 to 3.9, in the vicinity of Kūhiō Highway and Hawaiiana Road, from Monday through Friday, Oct. 28-Nov. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for road reconstruction and resurfacing as part of the Kuamoʻo Road Resurfacing project.
