Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced lane closures for this week. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

KŌLOA

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 4.5 to 8.5, on Oct. 14 through Friday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass trimming.

HANAPĒPĒ TO WAIMEA

Shoulder closure and lane shift on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 17 to 22, in the vicinity of Lele Road and Russian Fort Elizabeth State Park on Monday through Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass trimming.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

LĪHU‘E TO HANAMAULU

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile post 0.78 to 2.5, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, beginning Monday through Oct. 18 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for sign installations and striping.

LĪHU‘E

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction, between mile post 2 to 3.2, in the vicinity of Kaua‘i Beach Drive, on Monday through Friday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass and tree trimming.

KĪLAUEA

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile post 18 to 21.5, in the vicinity of Wailapa Road, on Monday through Friday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass trimming along guardrails.

PRINCEVILLE

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, on Monday through Friday, Oct. 18, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for slope stabilization and landscape maintenance. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

HANALEI

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction, between mile post 1 to 2.3, on Oct. 15, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail work.

WAINIHA

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) in the northbound direction, between mile post 6.3 to 6.9, in the vicinity of Wainiha Bay Beach Park, on Monday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail work.

Right lane closure on Halewili Road (Route 540) possible in either direction between mile post 1 to 2.5, on Oct. 16 through Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail repairs.
