Logic and accuracy of voting equipment examined prior to Nov. 5 election
In-person logic and accuracy testing was performed Saturday at 875 Waimanu St., No. 106, in Honolulu on voting equipment to be deployed to voter service centers for the Nov. 5 general election.
The testing was supervised by the Hawai‘i Office of Elections and administered by official observers who serve as “the eyes and ears” of the public and represent various political parties, community groups and interested individuals.
The observers test and certify the voting and vote counting system is programmed correctly and counting votes accurately.
Upon the test’s conclusion, the voting equipment was certified and secured in the presence of the official observers.
Tests and certification are being conducted this week in each neighbor island county.
