Resurfacing work scheduled for streets in Līhu‘e

Resurfacing work is scheduled for streets in Līhu‘e starting Oct. 1.

Portions of Luina and Makau Streets will be closed Oct. 1 to 4, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.

Work will take place on Luina Street from Oct. 1 to 2 and on Makau Street, from Luina Street to Makai Street from Oct. 3 to 4.

Motorists are advised that full closures may be intermittent and to drive cautiously in the area, as heavy machinery and commercial vehicles will be present.

Make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
